If you think Google is just a search engine, think again! These guys have a good sense of humor and finding the tricks that you can do with the Google home page is just like a treasure hunt. A rewarding one, I’d say. Today we picked the most awesome 5 of these tricks to share with you.
1. Find Chuck Norris
The Chuck Norris jokes are endless (although I really think a great injustice it’s being done to Steven Seagal), so Google couldn’t miss this one either.
Just go type find Chuck Norris in Google search and click the “I’m Feeling Lucky” button to see what happens.
2. Zerg Rush
Inspired by the StarCraft game, where a zerg rush is a tactic where swarms of aliens known as zergs overwhelm their enemies, this particular search in Google will unleash a horde of “o“s eating up your search results in no time. You can try to fight back by clicking on each of them, but it will be a really tough job. If you manage to get rid of the little pests, however, you can even submit your score to Google.
3. Google Search in China
Wait, there’s no such thing as Google search for China…right? Right! But this doesn’t mean this fake search page, acting as a placeholder isn’t fun to use. Just go here , try to search for something and see what happens to the search results.
4. Google gravity
Want to see how searching in the outer space feels like? Then type Google gravity into the Google search box, click the “I’m feeling lucky” button and see what happens. There you go, now you broke it!
5. Do a Barrel Roll
By searching for do a barrel roll, you’ll make the search results do a …barrel roll. If spinning around isn’t your thing, you can also try searching for tilt or askew which will tilt the search results just enough to make them look annoying, or Google sphere followed by clicking the “I’m feeling lucky” button to make everything orbit around the Google logo, search results included.
